Caversham Court, Mornington

This old Art Deco building, Caversham Court on the Esplanade in Mornington looks like a Nursing Home or Sanitarium but it is a block of flats. It was designed in 1947 by architect CG MacKennal and built the following year, 1948.

The block consists of 10 separate flats throughout the 2 and 3 storey building with a flat, concrete roof covered in thick layer of gravel. It was a mammoth job shoveling barrow load on barrow load of gravel and taking it down to ground level.

Once cleared, the concrete roof was carefully inspected for concrete rot, cracks and damage and then ground back to remove all rough protrusions. The damaged areas and cracks were slurry filled where needed and then sprayed with our 2 part Polyurea seamless membrane. The seamless membrane extended 20cm up the walls to prevent water collecting and seeping through corner joins.

The metal roof was displaying signs of corrosion as well, so we repaired damaged sections and then sealed the metal roof to make it waterproof and improve longevity.

Concrete Tank Sealing At Wonthaggi

This concrete tank waterproofing job was at a Wonthaggi property, Bass Coast. The sides had cracked due to earth movement, plus 1 tank had a large base crack. We emptied the tanks, pressure washed all inside surfaces, applied slurry render and then the 2 part, spray on Polyurea waterproofing solution which is potable.

Dairy Floor Sealing Korrumburra.

This dairy farmer wanted his concrete floors sealed for hygiene and reduce water usage. We spent a day preparing the surface using the heavy duty pressure washer and applied the 2 part Polyurea abrasion resistant membrane. The end result, radically reduced water bill and improved hygiene.

Truck Floor Liners

Being abrasion and corrosion resistant with high levels of flexibility, Polyurea is the ideal solution to apply as a protective coating for truck floors. The floors are protected against abrasion from animal hooves and from chemical corrosion from animal urine and cow dung. Considering the upfront cost of trucks, it makes sense to protect your business investment.

Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula

These big old concrete tanks in Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula were in a run down condition and needed a fair amount of repairs to seal cracks and crumbling concrete! We spent a few days pressure, applying slurry to fill cracks and the thick coated the walls with a 5mm coating.

The membrane is potable, so water is safe to drink and actually tastes better without the usual tank taste. These tanks will last another 80 plus years, and it’s a cost effective solution to buying smaller poly tanks.
